Modi, Obama to hold talks in Hyderabad House

US President Barack Obama has begun a three-day visit to India, where he'll attend the country's Republic Day celebrations. On his Sunday schedule is a lunch meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House. Modi received the US President and First Lady Michelle Obama at the Palam airport in New Delhi.

The two leaders will hold delegation-level talks at Hyderabad House.  Obama received a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan, and then paid homage at the Mahatma Gandhi memorial. This is Obama's second visit to India as president, and his first for Republic Day celebrations, to be held Monday.

The visit will focus on trade, security and defense. President Obama has cancelled plans to visit the iconic Taj Mahal on Tuesday, to fly to Saudi Arabia, following the death of King Abdullah.
