CCTV9英语新闻:US calls for end to violence in Syria
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said the ongoing violence in Syria must stop immediatley.
She made the comments at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday. Clinton called for both the Syrian government and the opponent to reach a peaceful solution for the present situation, and to announce a democratic national-transition.
She said that otherwise Syria would be at risk of civil war. Clinton then called on the international community to work together to pressure the Syrian government to end the bloodshed to realize a transition like Yemen has.
She added that military intervention in Syria has been ruled out.
